QBE gives update on hydrology reports and assessments

/, Insurance Information, Insurance News, Insurers/QBE gives update on hydrology reports and assessments

QBE, in association with the Insurance Council of Australia, has appointed various panels of independent hydrologists to determine the defined nature of the recent floods. The insurer reports they have undertaken a robust process of assessing all reported claims according to the policy wordings and terms and conditions applicable to each individual policy.
For Queensland, hydrology reports are available for review on QBE’s website by geographic region as they become available. In addition, the Queensland Reconstruction Authority has created an additional resource, using the same flood extent data, showing the flood extent in each area. This is now publicly available to policyholders and may assist in understanding the extent of the flooding as it relates to individual locations. The interactive map is available on the Queensland Reconstruction Authority website.
