Lumley is now part of IAG’s Commercial Insurance division
For over 100 years Australian insurance brokers and businesses have relied on Lumley Insurance to tailor products and services for their individual, SME and corporate clients.
On 30 June 2014, Lumley became part of Insurance Australia Group Limited (IAG) as part of the acquisition of the Wesfarmers Insurance Underwriting businesses in Australia and New Zealand.
Lumley is now part of IAG’s Commercial Insurance division – the largest commercial insurer in Australia, offering the deepest expertise, most comprehensive distribution and broadest range of products in the market.
With Lumley coming into CGU, we’re bringing the best of both organisations together. This includes new policy wordings under the CGU brand, which incorporate the benefits of CGU and Lumley’s wordings.
Lumley Insurance policies will migrate onto these new CGU products as customers’ renewals fall due from July 2015 onward. The migration process is expected to take about 12 months.
