QBE insurance has issued a statement to policyholders of QBE Travel Insurance in regards to the civil unrest in Egypt. It reiterates that the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) are advising travellers ‘not to travel to Egypt because of ongoing civil unrest and the high threat of terrorist attack.’

“QBE will continue to monitor the situation in Egypt and keep you informed about travel insurance provisions for policyholders. Additional information about travel insurance cover provision for policyholders currently overseas that have been affected or who are yet to depart Australia can be found on their website.
