Australian business insurer Vero has outline risks and control measures for clients conducting hot works (welding, grinding, cutting,  hot riveting and  flame heating), according to the insurer “Hot work often presents one of the greatest risks to both life safety and property protection at a facility. As a result, it is important that such work is avoided where possible, and well managed if not avoidable.” The insurer has dealt with hot work claims for business property and public liability.
